Judith Butler (yes, THE Judith Butler) is a professor here, and I'm going to watch her speak on Tuesday. Does she speak the way she writes? Will I even be able to see her, or will I be instantly blinded by the light of her PRESENCE?!!
We'll know the answers to these questions soon enough. I will definitely keep you posted on how it goes, though, and I'll try to take pictures. Let me know if you want them.

I think this is more a post about why I should love you.
I'm with Laura.
One of my professors here (with whom I have a very strange -- but not "strange" in a creepy way -- relationship with) teaches in the Society for the Humanities and actually hates Judith Butler and her ilk. I think that's a good thing for the humanities in general.
I agree with Laura, because I love you, but I can't love Berkeley! That's just not allowed around here.
